Classes forming now!

How do I know if these classes are for me?
Things you need to know:

1) This is NOT a Chug! In other words, these classes are not for the purpose of entertainment, childcare or just a fun activity.

2) The classes given are for serious dedicated students only.

3) Classes will follow and implement a comprehensive curriculum which will include all aspects of architectural woodworking - from nurturing creativity, drafting design, computer design, plans and layout, material options, construction methods, tool safety, production methods, business models, and other methods for turning what you learn into a money-making opportunity for the future.... plus much more through "hands on" experience.

4) Only interviewed candidates will be considered...these classes are NOT for everyone.

5) These classes will be customized for all ages to provide everything needed for future career choices.

6) Private classes are the preferred method for learning the maximum, however small joint classes will be considered depending on certain factors.

7) Classes will be held once a week for 1 hour with independent additional learning being encouraged. A minimum 8-week commitment is required to begin this process.

8) For the right candidate's additional classes will be made available.

9) Classes will be held at Golano Design Studio in RBSA on Nachal Alexander

10) There will be a charge for the classes. The cost will be on a sliding scale and dependent on the first meeting by evaluating the candidate's abilities, enthusiasm and commitment level.

11) The end goal of the classes is to help make the student employable and give hope for future career choices.

12) Learning is a lifetime commitment; however, we will help direct the right candidates toward earning money the entire way. We believe that the potential for employment, starting a business or using the skills learned to create a supplemental income are very real and attainable in a very short time. So, any investment made toward this program has the very real potential to be rewarded with a very real income and profitable future.

13) If the outline above seems like a fit...make an appointment to meet for an admissions evaluation into our apprenticeship program.

IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO GET STARTED!

TESTAMONIALS
Enrolling my son in the apprenticeship program Golano Design offers was one of the best things I have ever done. With a passion for creating, and great with his hands, my son was looking for some simple wood shop classes. He got much more than he expected when we were introduced to Yossi Golano.

From the beginning it has been clear that Yossi really cares about his students. He takes his time to really understand each one, in order to tailor the lessons to their interests. Yossi is thoroughly invested in his students’ success and his goal is to teach them all the tools necessary to build their own future career. From design and implementation... to marketing and dealing with clients, Yossi’s apprenticeship program is well rounded, giving his students all the ingredients for a wonderful career.

My son has thrived in his lessons, has gained lots of knowledge and self-confidence and now has a real insight into his future.

PROJECTS IN PROGRESS

"I am 27 years old and I have been a woodworking apprentice with Yossi for over a year. During that time I have learned how to plan projects and carry them out from start to finish. I have learned how to use a wide array of tools and machines, such as routers, table saws and staining equipment, in order to build beautiful handmade furniture.

I have learning disabilities which makes it harder for me to learn. However, Yossi is a great teacher who works with me to find creative ways to help me work effectively. He is very understanding and creates an environment where I am encouraged to learn and grow.

I would like to get a job in the field and Yossi is helping me prepare for my career goals. With these skills, the possibilities of what I can do are endless. Yossi is not just teaching me woodworking he is also teaching me valuable life lessons."

Our son has been in the apprenticeship program with Golano Design for over a year. He has done a beautiful job on the pieces he designed and built. He feels a great sense of pride and accomplishment in each new technique he develops, tool he learns to use, and piece he makes. He is not a sports person and is artistic, so he needed something more hands on then a usual art chug

We are all so happy we enrolled him in this program because he gets to develop his artistic talents each week in a way that is totally separate from school and its challenges. He comes home talking about sketches he's made and the measurements involved. He has also fixed numerous broken drawers and shelves in the house with everything he has learned.

In addition, the extra benefit of having something in his life that is more than a hobby is so important. The skills he is developing can help him with choosing a possible career and use the life skills he has learned in the classes. Yossi is an encouraging and patient teacher who has so much to share in terms of skills and work ethic. We feel very blessed to have our son in Golano Design's apprenticeship program.
